Andrew was taken from Australia in April 2008 by Melinda Margaret THOMPSON (nee Melinda Margaret STRATTON)

They flew from Sydney to Frankfurt (Germany) on a Singapore Airlines flight on 24th April 2008 and have not been seen or heard from since then. Both are Australian Citizens travelling on Australian passports.

Grave concerns are held for Andrew's safety and well being by his father, Australian Police, and Australian child protection authorities. Serious concerns are also held for Melinda THOMPSON's emotional well being.

Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Andrew and Melinda should contact local Police, Interpol, or the Australian Federal Police on +61-2-6126-7777.

Human Trafficking is a world wide problem however hard we try to turn a blind eye to it. Most countries on this world are either a country where people are abducted from, a country that abducted people are passed through or a country that abducted people end up. Most of these countries are all three and that includes England.

Is that ok by everyone ? Not me. Yet it goes on everyday and is going on right now. Someone somewhere is being stollen. Some one's life somewhere is being turned upside down. Every missing person is someones daughter or son.

Abduction and Human Trafficking

Did you know that 8 jumbo jet loads of children go missing every day - where do they all go?

Unicef estimates that about 1.2 million children are trafficked each year and have called this the 21st-century slave trade. Some commentators have pointed out that the numbers of trafficking equal that of the number of slaves brought to America in the 18th and 19th century.

Did you know that 10,000 women and young girls are trafficked into the UK every year under the promise of a new life and a promising career only to arrive here to be sold as sex-slaves for as little as £50.00 in motorway service stations!! Their parents may never see them again!

Did you know that in India, and other Countries, boys and girls as young as five years old are being forcably torn from their families,who they will never see again, and sold into a life of forced sex-slavery for as little as the price of a cup of coffee!!!

Definitions

Abduction of a child by parent

'a person connected with the child under the age of sixteen ... takes or sends the child out of the United Kingdom without the appropriate consent.'
(Child Abduction Act 1984, Sec 1)

Abduction of child by other persons

'a person other than [the child's mother, father or others covered in sec 1], without lawful authority or reasonable excuse ... takes or detains a child under the age of sixteen ...'
(Child Abduction Act 1984, Sec 2)

For the purposes of the statistics research, offences were grouped into 4 main types:

parental child abductions – abductions of a child by a natural parent or guardian
stranger attempted child abductions – abductions by someone not known to the child which did not result in the successful abduction of the child
stranger successful child abductions – abductions by someone not known to the child that succeeded
other – successful and attempted abductions of a child by someone with some previous connection to the child.

International Missing childrens Day 25th March 2009

Dear reader,

On Monday 25th May 2009 it is International Missing Childrens day. The main purpose for IMCD is to encourage everyone to remember all children missing in the UK and around the world. The day sends a message of hope and solidarity at international level to parents who do not know where their missing loved one is or what has happened to them.

El objetivo principal de IMCD es para animar a todos a recordar a todos los niños desaparecidos en el Reino Unido y en todo el mundo. Sigourney Teresa Chisholm was abducted by her mother Patricia O'Byrne in May of 1993. Sigourney was born September 20, 1991, she is now 17.

On the 15th of May 1993, following a custody dispute with the father, O’Byrne left a message stating that she was leaving the country with her daughter, Sigourney. Patricia is wanted on charges of child abduction.

They have been traced to British Columbia, London and Tunbridge Wells, Kent. It is believed they could possibly be in Mallorca, Spain now.

It is thought that Sigourney may have attended St John's primary school in Tunbridge Wells before being moved again around the age of 8 / 9.

Anybody with information about Sigourney should contact Missing Children of Canada on + 1-800-661-6160, their nearest CrimeStoppers or send a message via this site which will be passed on to her father.
